Met up with the boys from the old 'hood yesterday. Rode on Daniel's bike. Man, having your own set of wheels really gives you freedom. I need my own. D: Anyhoo, I'm on the hunt for a damn rat in the house. I've had a few sightings already but none as clear as what I saw yesterday. Small, agile and black, the damn rat ran from sofa to sofa, taking cover. It's like some damn commando in camoflague. So at 4.30 A.M. , the whole house was up looking for the damn rodent, sparing no corner unchecked. But still, it evaded capture. We're not gonna kill it, just get it out of the damn house. Ah well. The hunt continues. In other news, Remember my late grand uncle? Well, its been over 100 days since he passed and my dad thought its high time he looked through his things. He came across lots of clothes, frames and such. Then he found a bag with a lock, but no key. He removed that lock, WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE. Just kidding. In it, was the 'treasure'. All this while, my late grand uncle had always kept his money in unwanted wallets, bags and such. The money he collected was from hong baos and green packets given by relatives over the years. Yeah, he never married. So, in this bag lay bundles of cash and old documents. It was interesting. He had roughly a few thousand in his possession yet, he never did anything with it. Well now, its going to charity, like what my father said. The old documents my dad found were medical records, old letters, from the government, regarding voting and such(There was even a letter about the Referendum). How cool is that? The papers were yellow, ancient and brittle. There was also a letter from the police; apparently he lodged a complaint. My dad said he wrote that letter, many years ago. He said he witnessed a British kid with a dog that attacked my grand uncle. The dog bit both his legs but the boy simply walked off. My father wrote to the police but they sent a letter back saying that no action would be taken. How fucked up is that? My grandmother then took my grand uncle to the doctor's to get him checked out. How cool is that? A piece of my family's history, hidden till now. We even found out his date of birth. A treasure indeed. Till next entry! Voiced.@ 18:13:00 |
