It's been awhile. Yes, happy February all! The past week, I've spent time visiting relatives, losing $$ while visiting, clubbing with Wino and Iylia, saw a fight and most of the time, having a red, runny nose doing so! Anyway, school's on tmr. Feeling pretty miserable about it but at least it starts at 1PM! Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea ![]() A great sigh of relief after four damn draws.A heavily debatable match with fiery moments throughout those 90 minutes! Torres with two late goals, Lampard red carded early in the 2nd half, Benayoun literally getting his ass kicked and lots of other heated exchanges. Great entertainment! Frank Lampard being sent off didn't really make a big difference in my opinion. Sent off after a dubious challenge on Xabi Alonso, the scourge of Chelsea in recent times who seemed to have made a meal of the challenge, Lampard, like a model professional, walked off almost instantaneously even though he didn't like the bad decision. But the reason why I feel that incident didn't make a big difference in the game was because Liverpool played absolutely beautiful football up front. 18 shots on target to Chelsea's 3 before the goals will explain everything. Gerrard, though reckless at times, played some beautiful football today, playing one-twos with Riera and Torres. Yes. On to the goals by Torres. The man is a joy to behold and a true legend in the making. The current number 9 is truely living up to his number, previously worn by such great Anfield legend Ian Rush. After forcing Chelsea keeper Petr Cech to make afew brilliant saves, The goals came after 84 minutes when Aurelio ran along the line and shortly after delivered a great cross for Torres to head the ball past Cech. The second came in added time after Benayoun unselfishly gave the ball to Torres to slot it home, sending the Anfield faithful into raptures. Personally, it was a fine match that made the drama behind the scenes at Liverpool FC non-existent. It was clear that the fans weren't too happy about the nonsense off the pitch and the crap that happened on the pitch for the past 4 games. But finally, after the first goal, the Kop roared its roof off. It restored the fans' faith and belief in its club. The second reaffirmed that belief. And nothing is more important than making your fans believe. YNWA. Apologies for the boring soccer jibbajabba. But a post is a post, eh Ching Na? ;D
