The start of 2008 was a pretty busy one for me, with projects due and whatnot. The stress is there, but with a class like mine and with the clique, nothing seems insurmountable. I love Fridays. They mean classes end at 12 and the rest of the day awaits. A perfect way to welcome the weekend. Since it was the beginning of the weekend, a bunch of the boys from the old neighbourhood and myself went to paint the town red, green, indigo and fuschia. Decided to catch a late movie at lido. After knowing these guys practically all my life, we're still tight, like family. Yeah, we've changed alot but the love is still there. You know its gonna be a blast when Fa'iz.Daniel.Iylia.Erwin.Danial. come around. Came home around 3, woke up at 11. If it weren't for work, I would've slept in. But anyway, I tried to resign today but to no avail. Apparently they don't have anyone to run parties. Its no big deal, so why do they need to hire someone just to run the parties? It's dumb. But they did tell me they'd call me down ONLY when they have a booking. But honestly, if you want me to work for you, give me more money. $4.50 per hour is a fucking joke! But being the pushover that I am, I accepted the boss' offer to stay on but only whenever someone wants a party. It's spoiling the damn market I tell you. I'm probably going to screw them over to start my own business. So there. Till next entry! Voiced.@ 22:50:00 Wednesday, 26 September 2007
Update time! So school's started for SP this week. This means me waking up at 6.30 in the damn morning just so I can get to school on time. But so far its been pretty alright. I've started talking to new faces and all is well. Sadly though, my laptop is on the verge of having a heart attack. No joke. All day today I was trying to fix it but apparently it doesn't want to be fixed. I might as well start backing up my data. Time to reformat! Oh yeah! Yesterday was Jun Xian's 17th. I heard he was completely smashed after guzzling the vodka and whatnot given by the class. Sweet. Happy 17th! >:) Also, I found out it was mum and dad's 24th wedding anniversary. Sweet. Coincidentally, I was out shopping for dad's birthday present. :D Check out what I bought: ![]() Bust sold seperately. XD Also, I bought myself a spain jersey. The grand total? Well. I spent $185 yesterday. So I'm broke. Again. ): Well at least I tried to make dad happy. Worth every cent. I can always work again. :D ![]() In other news! Fernando Torres scored his first hat trick for Liverpool this morning in a match that saw Liverpool beating Reading 4-2 at the Madejski Stadium in the Carling cup. This makes 6 goals in 6 matches. Absolutely Torr-ific! Okay. sorry for that. xD Also worth mentioning was Yossi Benayoun's solid strike that opened the scoring for the night. Till next entry! The results are out! Oral Communications: Distinction Data Communications: A Character Development: A Computer Hardware: C+ Maths: D- GPA: 2.806 Yeah. I hate maths too. really pulled down my grades! No matter, at least I made it! So I went to BHSS today to hand in my claim form with Yong Zhi. Eventually after being blasted by G. Leela's usual contradicting rants, we made our way down to HTA at Choa Chu Kang! So yeah, the journey was a killer but at least I had my balloons with me. We delivered some shit then came home. So anyway, tmr's the start of Ramadan. 30 days of waking up at 4 am to have breakfast, and praying all night long. (: I love it. Especially what follows those 30 days. I had some photos, but I'll upload them some other time. Gah. Working tmr! ): Till next entry then! Labels: School Voiced.@ 22:56:00 Friday, 31 August 2007
This morning was strange. I woke up at 7 and funny enough, I shot right out of bed and headed straight for the shower. Well maybe that's because I was too excited to meet up with my friends from the sec school. We were going back to Balestier Hill to visit some teachers. So yeah, I left the house and waited at Newton for Ellers, the native of Norwegia and Hena the Squirrel. Along the way we met the others and went to school. The concert was upstairs but I decided to stay in the canteen and sit back with Mr. Z, the BEST chemistry teacher to have ever come out of Pakistan. :D I was preparing some balloons for the teachers when an old face appeared. It was Arif, the handsome hero with a frog's throat. With his usual imposing personality, he somehow convinced me to give him some of my creations to not only himself but his girlfriend and her best friend. LOL. Well being the gentleman that I am, I gladly obliged to the ladies' request. But I can only accept so much. So, Miss Yan Er Qing, the next time you request for balloons, I better see the colour of your money! :P So eventually I met up with Kiat, Kang and the rest of the bunch and after meeting up with the teachers, we left for Far East for lunch. Ivan, the biggest mass of food to have ever served National Service, was a HUGE annoyance, yet at the same time, he was very entertaining. (: So in the end the rest of them split, leaving Vonny, Helga, Rose, Junning, Kiat and myself to go watch a movie. I couldn't make it, so in the end we took neoprints to pass the time. Pre-Print! So while we waited, the men decided to take a few of our own, cheap-ass style! So after the group and myself parted ways, I took the train to Pasir Ris, where I eventually found my way to Siglap Secondary, to teach a class how to sculpt balloons. DAMN, those kids are super on! I felt so welcomed and appreciated. Everyone was so engrossed in playing with the balloons until we dragged on. Ah, so after that I headed home, and here we are. Hmmm, I'm off to iron my work clothes. Until next entry then! Labels: School Voiced.@ 22:32:00 Monday, 16 April 2007
I just can't help it. I couldn't stay away from blogging. Heh. Ever since I entered Singapore Polytechnic, life has been absolutely wonderful. It's a fantastic place to be. The people are so friendly,I even made friends with the security guards who gave me afew useful tips on surviving poly life. And don't get me started on the place itself. It's Heaven. I've seen my classmates afew times now and seriously speaking, I wouldn't have dreamed for a better bunch of people. The guys are whacky and nuts. The girls are nice and friendly, not to mention quite good looking. Heh. Aside from afew introverts, these guys are tighter than any other freshman class I've seen so far. But I guess that's the good thing about having only 16 people in your class. Oh and guess who's their class rep. (: Well anyway, today marks the first official day of my poly life. We met afew of our lecturers, what jokers they are. But I have to admit, they're quite good at conversing. Okay so the stress hasn't arrived yet cause its still the first day. But I honestly feel I can do well here. Well, aside for math, which happened to be the last lesson of the day. Bloody hell, I couldn't do any of the questions without help from Yong Xiang and Jun Xian. And I'm sitting in the front row? Total nerd alert lah. Also, there was the CCA Drive today. We had alot of free time, so the class decided to take a look. One important lesson to be learnt. Too many people crammed into one small hall with poor ventilation = Fucking furnace. Afew steps in and we were sweating like pigs. Oh well. Trying not to digress, I couldn't check out all the CCAs cause of the crowdedness. But I did manage to sign up for the SPSU Recruitment Camp, which I found out I'm the only one from my course going for it and Aikido, of which Yuni and Li Jie signed up for as well. The SP Ambassadors and SP Mentors sound quite interesting as well. Alright, sorry for being so wordy. I had alot to say. Enough for now! Labels: School Voiced.@ 19:59:00 |
